EPL: I was Accused of Bullying Man Utd Star -Says Mourinho

Former Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho has stated that, he was accused of bullying a Red Devils United player during his time at Old Trafford.

He made this known when speaking on The Obi One podcast.

Mourinho joined Man United in 2016 and helped them win the League Cup and European League.

He also led the team to finish in second place in the 2017–18 Premier League campaign.

However, Mourinho was involved in high-profile bust-ups with the likes of Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw before he was sacked by Man United in December 2018.

“When I was at Man United, I changed a player at halftime. I made a change at halftime; his agent accused me of bullying,” Mourinho said on The Obi One podcast.

“With [Nemanja] Matic at Stamford Bridge, he was on the bench. I put him at minute 45, and I took him off at minute 70. No, that’s education; that’s coaching. That is doing anything to win. I had to [make a] change.

“I laugh about these times but it is different times [now]. Even to be a dad, you have to be a different dad from how your dad was to you. You have to change according to the world, so football is a little bit of a consequence of that.”
